Painting and wine seem to go hand in hand, so why not make a date of it this Valentine’s Day? Art with Hope is sponsoring a special Valentine Paint and Sip event. For the price of admission, participants get a glass of wine, a snack, and the chance to create a masterpiece. The iconic symbol of romance, the Eiffel Tower, is the theme for this year’s event. Paint, supplies, and instruction are also included. The event location is the Three Brothers Vineyard & Winery, which is a family-owned and operated winery in Ridgefield, Washington.

Valentines Special Couples Make & Take Event

For another chance to show your love on canvas this Valentine’s Day, invite your date to the Vancouver Art Space on Sunday, February 13 to participate in a painting project for two painters. It doesn’t have to be a date, necessarily, you can bring your bestie and celebrate Galentine’s Day at this two-hour event. Choose from three projects and leave with your creation at the end of the evening. It’s only $95 per couple and all art supplies and materials are provided.

Valentine’s Night Market Vancouver

Before you head off to dinner on Friday, February 11, make a stop at the VIC and visit the Night Market Vancouver. If you’re not familiar with The Night Market, it’s a family-friendly, maker market that takes place at The Vancouver Innovation Center aka, The VIC on 18110 SE 34th Street. The market features the talent of regional artists as well as live music, a DJ, and a dance lesson. Over 80 vendors will be on hand from 4:30 to 8:30 pm and it’s only six bucks at the door. Smut City Jellyroll Society 

Here’s a unique Valentine’s Day idea: take your date back to the era of prohibition with a night of blues, jazz, and swing performed by a live band. The Smut City Jellyroll Society is a wild band of musicians who perform music from the ‘20s and ‘30s that will get you and your date up and moving on the dance floor. Performing bands include the music of Bessie Smith, Memphis Minnie, The Harlem Hamfats, Memphis Jug Band, Blind Boy Fuller, and more plus a few original tunes and well. Food and drink are also available. The performance starts at 7:30 pm. This special performance takes place at ​​Victorian Belle Mansion across the river in Portland.
